The Commencement of Discourse
Now you start to communicate with me.
I am listening to my favorite Roger Waters’ song (Amused to death) and you are punching me in resonance with rhythm of the music.

We can consider it as a climax and we should think our joined-curves must ascend in a new era. You are listening to me, so I have to listen to you backward… This is what we describe as “Discourse”.

As usual, you write beautifully of your developing connections with your child. The picture is remarkable. Like an elegant Chinese painting, I am asked to fill in the details of a face from my own imagination. In so doing, I (or anyone who chooses to engage with the art) also become part of the sculpture.
The notion that your "discourse" is "backwards" also suggests so many things -- not the least of which is that your baby, Arbutus, is still connected to a dimension that is all too easily lost. You move backward with him to origins and to profound dimensions that often become inaccessible after birth.
Thank you again for the Krishnamurti quotation you sent me: it is in a posting at my site.
Light and love to you
Dan
